Camila Borrero & Santiago Peña
awakening, letting go, flowing, and finally building a life directed by their own steps
Camila Borrero and Santiago Peña have just released "Réplicas," a pop song with influences of neo-soul and lo-fi sounds.
Réplicas is inspired by the desire to live intensely and honestly with oneself, a feeling that grew during the confinement period, during which the singer-songwriters looked back to ask themselves: To what extent have we chosen the path of our lives? Have we been sensible with ourselves?
For the singer-songwriters, Réplicas means awakening, letting go, flowing, and finally building a life directed by our own steps and desires, our own critique and our own voice.
The emotional video for Réplicas was filmed in the Polen studio in the city of Bogotá, directed by Melissa Chaves.
"We wanted to give life to the feeling of liberation that is spoken of in the song, and consequently, show the contrast between situations that can reduce a person to a 'should be' by eliminating the 'want to be'..." explains Santiago Peña.
